What would a graphic design work incorporating type and images be called?

I am doing a workshop on graphic design and I am having a little trouble on terminology. I have seen type+image works called "print," but are they only referred to as "print" if they are intended to be printed out? Then what is "print design?" I considered the word "graphic," but I think that might be too broad and general, as it could incorporate simply vector images and whatnot.

Simply ‘ART’! It is also called Ad Art or Graphic Art.
A print is the physical form containing the Art. It is still art weather it is printed, digital, sketched, drawn or painted if it has a commercial intent it is Art.
