Business Card Scanning-How can I use a regular scanner with special software to scan business cards?

Business Card Scanning – Does anyone know to use use a regular scanner with special software to scan business cards? I don’t understand why I need to buy yet another scanner just for business cards.
Obviously, I need to clarify my question. Business cards need to be scanned to be imported into Outlook or other PIMs.

Couple for you to try here, haven’t tried any as i have a business card scanner (hardware + software package)

How can I print multiple business cards on one page?

I was using microsoft publisher 2003 to make business cards. I have Avery paper where I can print ten cards on one sheet. But I don’t want the same ten cards. They’re all different. How would I set that up?

design your card in microsoft power point and copy it to microsoft word, or you can use paint to design your card , make your cards in different designs and copy them to word and resize them by using the utilities/tools,(picture tools etc.) setup the paper size and print you can print many copies in a sheet in different style and design.

MS Word using the templates or Publisher….Paint Shop Pro also can make cards too…

other than that i dont know of any…..I usually will do mine manually in photoshop….alot more options that way…

How do you organize business cards that you receive?

I have a bunch of business cards that I’ve received over the past few years. How do you store them? Or do you toss them and keep a digital contact of them? If you do keep the physical card, do you have any cheap DIY solutions?

I have been in sales for years the cheapest way I found is go to an office supply store and puchase a 2" binder and sheet protectors that fit business cards. They will be in the same area as the sheet protectors.
This works best for me.

I have a MacBook and I made business cards on Microsoft Word.

I’m trying to print them on Avery business cards template #8371

When I print them on regular paper, it prints perfectly how I want it.
When I print it on the Avery paper, it prints it on the top edge instead of where it needs to be.

How do I get it to work right?
